About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to independently manage our day-to-day stores and dispatch operations.

The role will involve managing raw materials, semi-finished goods (SFG), finished goods (FG), inventory records and dispatch of plastic manufactured parts. The candidate will supervise a team of around 4 store personnel while also actively participating in daily store activities.

The ideal candidate should be organised, disciplined and comfortable taking ownership of the complete stores function with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Stores and Dispatch department.
- Receive incoming raw materials, packaging materials and other items and ensure proper verification and documentation.
- Maintain proper storage, identification and traceability of raw materials, SFG and FG.
- Ensure timely issue of raw materials and other materials to the production department.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure physical stock matches system/Excel records.
- Prepare and maintain GRN, material issue, stock transfer, dispatch and other store-related documents.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchase and Production teams to ensure materials are available when required.
- Manage finished goods and ensure timely dispatch of plastic manufactured parts as per customer requirements and schedules.
- Coordinate loading, packing, labelling and dispatch activities.
- Plan and conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.




- Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
- Identify stock discrepancies, shortages, excess stock, damaged materials and slow-moving materials and report them to management.
- Maintain proper records for inward, outward, stock movement and dispatch.
- Maintain store housekeeping and ensure proper 5S practices.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and systematically to avoid damage, mix-up or loss.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Accounts and Dispatch teams whenever required.
- Maintain Excel-based inventory and store reports.
- Support internal, customer and other audits by maintaining proper records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures related to material handling, inventory and dispatch.
- Supervise, guide and allocate work to the store team of approximately 4 employees.
- Take ownership of store operations and resolve day-to-day operational issues independently.
- Perform any other store-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements
- Any graduate or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years or more of experience in stores, inventory, warehouse or dispatch operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic/injection moulding or similar industry, will be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Positive understanding of inventory management and stock control.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.




- Ability to supervise a small team and coordinate with different departments.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the complete stores function.
- Should be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of FIFO, 5S, stock verification and basic inventory control will be preferred.
- Candidates who can communicate in Tamil and English are preferred. Hindi will be an added advantage.

The candidate should be willing to work closely with the store team, physically verify stock, coordinate material movement and ensure that materials are available at the right time and in the right quantity.
