Role Description The Area Head Hot Refining is a full-time, on-site role based at our facility in Mengio. This role is responsible for overseeing hot refining operations, including planning and monitoring daily production, ensuring adherence to process parameters, safety standards, and quality specifications for aluminum and zinc alloys.

The Area

Head will coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to minimize downtime, optimize furnace and equipment utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key tasks include supervising and guiding the shift teams, analyzing operational data, implementing corrective actions,



and maintaining compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. The role also involves reporting performance metrics to plant leadership, supporting root cause analysis for process issues, and fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of hot refining operations, metallurgical processes, and furnace/equipment handling in aluminum or non-ferrous metal manufacturing.
- Experience in production supervision, shift management, and coordination with maintenance and quality teams.
- Proficiency in process monitoring, data analysis, and implementation of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
- Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards within heavy industrial or metallurgical plants.
- Effective communication, people management, and team coaching skills to lead diverse operational teams in office.
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues, make timely decisions under pressure, and maintain consistent product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in alloy production, hot refining, or similar large-scale manufacturing operations is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in an on-site industrial environment and willingness to work in shifts if required.
