Role Description This is a full time, in office role for an Aquaculture graduate based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Aquaculture graduate will support day-to-day farm operations, including monitoring water quality, feed management, stock health, and overall pond or tank conditions. The role involves collecting and recording farm data, assisting in implementing best practices for biosecurity and sustainability, and supporting field trials or pilot projects.

The individual will work closely with farmers and internal teams to provide technical guidance, troubleshoot farm-related issues, and help implement tech-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities may also include basic reporting,



coordination with supply chain and procurement teams, and participation in training sessions or farmer outreach programs.

Qualifications

- Relevant academic background in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of aquaculture production systems.
- Practical understanding of farm operations, including water quality management, feed schedules, stock health monitoring, and basic disease prevention practices.
- Ability to collect, organize, and interpret farm-level data, with basic familiarity with digital tools or farm management software considered an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with farmers, field staff, and cross-functional teams in a explicit and respectful manner.
- Capacity to work on-site in varied field conditions, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and adapt to evolving operational needs.
- Interest in sustainable aquaculture, traceability, and supply chain efficiency; prior internship or field experience in aquaculture is beneficial.
- Basic proficiency in standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing) and willingness to learn new tools and technologies relevant to aquaculture.
