Functional Responsibilities

· Operations Management

1. You shall report to the General Manager - EMS.

· Safe Transportation

1. Drive the ambulance safely to transport patients, medical staff, or supplies to and from hospitals, clinics, or accident sites.
2. Follow the quickest and safest routes during emergencies while adhering to traffic laws.

· Vehicle Maintenance

1. Handle, inspect and maintain the ambulance daily to ensure it is in good working condition, including fuel levels, tyre pressure, and cleanliness.
2. Report any mechanical issues to the Dept. Incharge for prompt repair & positive running condition.
3. Check frequently on the medicines availability in the Ambulance and if required, get it arranged from Stores.
4. Ensure that medical equipment and other Hospital properties are taken care of promptly.
5. Park the vehicle at the appropriate parking areas.

· Patient Assistance

1. Assist medical staff in loading and unloading patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
2. Provide basic assistance to patients and families as directed by medical personnel.
3. While not using the Ambulance, should stand in the Hospital entrance and assist in shifting the incoming patients.
4. Ensure service to patients should be your main objective. For this, you should not receive any tips or gift from the patients.

· Emergency Response

1. Respond promptly to emergency calls and ensure readiness for immediate dispatch.
2. Remain calm under pressure and follow instructions from emergency response teams or supervisors.
3. Work extra hours & cooperate if required.

· Documentation and Reporting

1. Maintain accurate logs of trips, including details of patients transported, locations, and any incidents.
2. Submit reports to HOD as required.
3. Handing Over & Taking Over protocols to the next shift Driver should be properly followed.

· Safety and Compliance

1. Ensure adherence to safety protocols,



including the proper use of sirens and lights during emergencies & when the patient is not inside the Ambulance.
2. Check the medical equipment in the Ambulance with the help of Nursing & Paramedical Staff and replace in case of any problem.
3. Comply with hospital policies and local regulations governing ambulance services.

· Communication

1. Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatchers, medical staff, and other relevant personnel.
2. Use two-way radios or communication devices effectively to receive instructions.
3. In case of an accident or if any emergency help is required, inform immediately to the Hospital.

Generic Responsibilities · Job Knowledge: Proficient enough in both the Technical & Functional levels for the given role. Conceptual skills and understanding of Business model are utmost important. Shall know the practices in Industry widely followed from time to time.

· Quality Consciousness: Specific action is always aimed at improving quality of service, its processes and other activities associated with it.

· Cost Consciousness: Implementing Cost Control Measures and its monitoring.

· Others: To participate in all departmental training and quality initiative measures that is in practice across locations.

· To maintain ethical practices and diplomacy at all levels that we are dealing in our day to day transactions.

· To follow all the rules and regulations of the organization that are prevailing in practice from time to time.

· The EMS Driver’s role is vital in delivering & maintaining high-quality patient care.

· Take ownership of all the duties that you are responsible for at your workplace.

In addition to the above mentioned duties and job functions any other assignment given by the immediate superior or the management will have to be carried out.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
