Role Description The Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Howrah. The Advisor will support customers in understanding and selecting suitable general insurance products across motor, health, travel, home, and personal accident categories, as well as relevant corporate offerings.

Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing customers, explaining policy features and perks, assisting with documentation, and guiding customers through the proposal and onboarding processes.



The Advisor will coordinate with branch teams and support staff to ensure timely issuance of policies, address customer queries, and help resolve service-related issues. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, meeting defined sales and service targets, and complying with all regulatory and organizational guidelines.

Qualifications

- Ability to understand and explain general insurance products, including motor, health, travel, home, and personal accident policies.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on clear communication and trusted advisory support.
- Basic sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Comfort with documentation, policy applications, and working with branch systems and digital tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and local language; professional and courteous interpersonal style.
- Ability to work on-site in Howrah, manage time effectively, and meet performance and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at the higher secondary or graduate level; relevant certifications in insurance are beneficial.
