Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based at the VEE VEE Food Products facility in Thoothukudi. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions, including recording entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

The role involves preparing invoices, monitoring payables and receivables, assisting with payroll calculations, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities. The Accountant will help generate financial reports, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations,



and support external audits as needed. Collaboration with operations and management teams to provide accurate financial data and cost insights for the cashew processing business is an significant part of this role.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and maintaining general ledgers.
- Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations accurately.
- Experience in preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting audit processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including basic formulas and data analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant taxation, compliance, and local regulatory requirements.
- Attention to detail, solid numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines in a production environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with finance, operations, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or food processing sectors is beneficial but not mandatory.
