2D GAME ARTIST INTERN Indie Game Studio | Bangalore

We’re looking for a 2D Game Artist Intern to join our small, hands-on game development team in Bangalore.

We’re currently developing an original PC game with a 2.5D HD pixel-art visual style and isometric gameplay perspective , combining a cyber-feudal Japanese world with advanced technology.

Our game studio is one of the ventures currently being incubated and funded through EcoNest Ventures.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

- Create 2D game assets including characters, environments, props and visual elements
- Design game UI including panels, buttons, icons, HUDs and menus
- Create pixel-art assets and visual elements where required
- Work on visuals for progression systems, upgrades and the Spell Forge
- Create Steam capsule art, key art and promotional artwork
- Develop visuals for social media and development updates
- Maintain consistency across the game's visual language
- Collaborate closely with our existing artists and Unity developer




- Contribute ideas and take part in shaping the game's visual direction

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Robust fundamentals in 2D art and visual design
- A portfolio demonstrating illustration, game art, UI or related work
- Good understanding of composition, colour and visual hierarchy
- Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Aseprite, Figma or similar
- Interest in games and game development
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on your work
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
- Willingness to experiment, learn and take ownership

This is a small, early-stage studio, so you won't simply be working on isolated assignments.

You’ll work directly with the core development team, see your artwork move from concept to implementation , contribute ideas and have a meaningful opportunity to influence the visual direction of the game.

DETAILS

Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid — 2–3 days in office

Duration: 4 months

Stipend: ₹10,000–₹15,000/month, based on interview performance and skill level

PPO: ₹3–4 LPA after the internship, based on performance and studio requirements
