Role & responsibilities

- Develop accurate 3D CAD models and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software while adhering to customer requirements and OEM design standards.
- Create and modify component designs based on engineering inputs, packaging constraints, manufacturability, and functional requirements.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, GD&T;, tolerances, BOMs, and engineering annotations.
- Apply design guidelines and best practices specific to the chosen specialization (Plastic Trims, BIW Sheet Metal, Powertrain Components, or Wiring Harness Design).
- Perform design validation by checking part interfaces, clearances, interferences, assembly feasibility, and compliance with design standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and Suppliers to resolve design issues and implement engineering changes.
- Manage engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), update CAD models and drawings, and maintain revision history in PLM/PDM systems.
- Support prototype development, design reviews, and product release activities by providing technical documentation and ensuring timely project deliverables.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering,



Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Good knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting using any leading CAD software.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to any one automotive specialization such as Interior Plastic Trims, BIW Sheet Metal Design, Powertrain Components, or Wiring Harness Design.
- Familiarity with automotive product development concepts, OEM design standards, DFM/DFA principles, and engineering change management is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering team.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, master sections, technical standards, and convert engineering requirements into manufacturable CAD models.
- Freshers or candidates with 05 years of experience in automotive or mechanical product design are welcome to apply, with a willingness to learn and adapt to recent design tools and technologies.
