- 4+ years of hands-on experience building production pipelines in Matillion ETL for Snowflake and/or Matillion Data Productivity Cloud (orchestration jobs, transformation jobs, shared jobs, variables, and components).
- Snowflake Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Snowflake architecture virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, Streams, Tasks, Energetic Tables, Time Travel, and cost/performance optimization.
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query performance tuning.
- Data Modeling: Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) patterns.
- ETL/ELT Design: Experience integrating data from relational databases, REST APIs, flat files, and cloud storage into Snowflake via Matillion.
- Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) where Snowflake and Matillion are deployed.
- Scripting: Practical Python or scripting experience for custom components, automation, or advanced transformations within Matillion.
