Job Purpose:

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will serve as the strategic business partner to the Managing Director. You will lead the financial operations, enhance project-level profitability, manage working capital, and build predictive models to scale our production and procurement. To drive corporate profitability by overseeing cash flow, leading financial planning, and executing strategic investments while mitigating financial risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Profitability

- Conduct deep-dive Profit & Loss (P&L;) analyses for individual interior projects, and overall business units.
- Track and optimize product-wise and project-wise profit margins (e.g., raw material fluctuations, labor, and installation costs).
- Establish strict budget controls for material procurement, vendor pricing, and site wastage.

2. Strategic Finance & Fundraising

- Spearhead fundraising efforts. Develop investor-grade financial models, pitch decks, and long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Lead the IPO Readiness Checklist to close compliance gaps, manage SEC/SEBI audit readiness, and clean up the corporate structure.

3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Manage complex cash cycles involving advance payments, milestone billing, and material lead times.
- Oversee vendor negotiations, accounts payable, and timely receivables from corporate clients.
- Assess financial risks and secure favorable banking relationships and credit facilities.

4. Financial Operations & Reporting

- Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, maintaining speed and accuracy of all billings.
- Lead, mentor, and build a robust finance and accounting team.

Taxation & Compliance

- Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance, specifically handling intricate taxation issues like GST, TDS, and corporate filings.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and streamline financial policies.

6.Investor & Board Relations:

- Lead communications regarding financial performance, capital allocation, and strategic direction within the organization.

7.Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Partner with the CEO, COO, and department heads to align departmental budgets with overarching company goals and support operational efficiency.

8.Regulatory Compliance & Governance:

- Serve as the primary liaison for auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC), ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting.

9.Crisis & Risk Management:

- Proactively identify, address, and communicate financial risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills Required

- Education: CA (Chartered Accountant).
- Experience: 20+ to 25+ years of progressive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years in an executive or strategic finance role within the Manufacturing / Auto Ancillary / Consumer Durable Industry.
- Technical Acumen: Mastery in creating predictive financial scenarios, proficiency with advanced Excel, and experience using ERP Navison/financial software (e.g., NetSuite, Tally, SAP).
- Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of manufacturing / Projects scale-up, BOQ (Bill of Quantities) economics, and raw material sourcing.
- Soft Skills: Impeccable communication skills, personal integrity, and a proven ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management Skill.
