Title: Trainee Engineer
Location: Auxilife (Pune, India)
Reporting: General Manger & Regulatory Head

Job Summary
The Trainee Engineer will support the Regulatory and Scientific team in environmental fate and environmental risk assessment of pesticides, biocides, fertilizers, biostimulants, and specialty chemicals. The role will primarily involve evaluation of environmental and chemical data, preparation of regulatory documentation, and support for European regulatory submissions, including EU BPR (Biocidal Products Regulation).

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the evaluation of environmental fate and behaviour data of active substances and products.
- Review and summarize studies related to degradation, adsorption/desorption, mobility, persistence, and environmental exposure.
- Support environmental exposure and risk assessments for different environmental compartments.
- Evaluate physicochemical and environmental data for regulatory assessments.
- Conduct scientific literature searches and review relevant environmental studies.
- Assist in identifying data gaps and compiling information required for regulatory submissions.
- Support preparation of environmental assessment summaries, tables, calculations, and scientific justifications.
- Support preparation of regulatory documentation for the European market.




- Assist in preparation and compilation of EU BPR regulatory dossiers and documentation.
- Support preparation of Draft Registration Reports (DRR) and related technical sections under the guidance of senior regulatory professionals.
- Review study reports and supporting documents for completeness, consistency, and regulatory relevance.
- Assist in addressing data requirements and preparing responses to regulatory authority comments and queries.
- Maintain regulatory references, technical documents, and project records.
- Support senior team members in managing environmental and regulatory projects.
- Maintain project trackers and monitor assigned activities and timelines.
- Coordinate internally for collection and compilation of scientific and technical information.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned regulatory tasks.

Qualifications

- B.Tech./M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Freshers or candidates with 02 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of environmental chemistry, chemical properties, environmental fate, and risk assessment.
- Interest in European chemical/biocidal regulatory affairs will be an advantage.
