Role & responsibilities

1. Represents nurses internationally
ICN represents the interests of nurses and national nursing associations at the global level. It provides a common platform for nurses from different countries to share concerns and experiences.
2. Promotes professional standards and ethics
ICN develops and promotes professional standards, guidelines, and ethical principles for nursing practice. It encourages nurses to provide safe, competent, and quality care to patients.
3. Advocates for nurses rights and welfare
ICN works to improve nurses working conditions, safety, employment rights, and professional recognition. It also highlights the importance of adequate staffing and a supportive work environment.
4. Supports nursing education and career development
ICN encourages high-quality nursing education and lifelong learning. It supports nurses in developing their knowledge, skills,



leadership abilities, and professional competence.
5. Influences health policies
ICN participates in discussions on international health policies and advises governments and health organizations on issues related to nursing and healthcare. It promotes the contribution of nurses to improving public health.
6. Promotes international cooperation among nurses
ICN encourages cooperation and communication between nursing organizations across countries. It facilitates the exchange of knowledge, research, experiences, and best practices to strengthen nursing globally.

Preferred candidate profile

- Must have minimum 2+ years of experience as ICN in NABH accredited hospital.
- Preffered for immediate joiners.
