Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Trainee Engineer with a strong academic background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) to join our Power Systems division. This structured training program is designed to fast-track young engineers into core technical roles by providing hands-on exposure to power system studies, substation design, protection logic, relay configuration, and system reliability metrics (SAIDI/SAIFI). You will work alongside senior engineers and specialists to build a robust foundation in electrical infrastructure engineering.

Key Responsibilities & Training Modules

- Power System Modeling & Studies: Assist senior engineers in modeling electrical power networks and conducting power system studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit calculations, and Voltage Drop analysis using tools such as ETAP, ASPEN OneLiner, or DIGSI 5.
- Protection Systems: Learn and support the configuration and coordination of numerical protection relays (overcurrent, earth fault, differential protection) and auto-reclose schemes.
- Design & Documentation: Assist in the review and drafting of single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, and technical specifications for primary and secondary substation equipment.
- Testing & Field Support: Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site inspection visits, and testing/commissioning support activities under the guidance of lead engineers.
- Reliability & Analytics:



Learn methodology for calculating system reliability metrics (SAIDI and SAIFI) and analyzing power distribution network performance data.
- Technical Development: Complete structured internal training assignments covering equipment sizing, cable calculations, grounding design, and international standards (IEC/IEEE).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from an accredited university.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of professional experience (fresh graduates with excellent academic records and relevant final-year projects in power systems are encouraged to apply).
- Core Knowledge: Solid theoretical understanding of electrical machines, power transmission and distribution, electromagnetic fields, and control systems.
- Software Exposure: Familiarity or foundational academic exposure to electrical engineering software tools (ETAP, MATLAB, SIMULINK, or AutoCAD).
- Aptitude: Solid analytical mindset, eagerness to learn, and high attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and technical reporting.

Career Growth Pathway

Upon successful completion of the 12-month Graduate Trainee program and performance evaluations, trainees will transition into full-time permanent roles as Assistant Electrical Engineers or Junior Design/Commissioning Engineers with expanded responsibilities across our global power infrastructure projects.
