General Manager - Marketing

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager- Marketing to lead our marketing and business development initiatives and drive growth across retail and modern trade channels in India.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve sales, revenue and market expansion targets.
- Build and manage strong relationships with top retailers, modern trade chains, distributors and key accounts across India.
- Identify current business opportunities, markets, channels and partnerships to accelerate growth.
- Drive brand positioning, product visibility, promotional activities and market penetration.
- Work closely with sales, procurement, operations and product teams to ensure effective execution of business plans.
- Develop and monitor sales/marketing targets, budgets, forecasts and performance metrics.
- Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with key retail accounts and strategic partners.
- Analyse market trends,



competitor activity and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the marketing/business development team and ensure achievement of individual and organisational targets.

Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, business development or key account management.
- Strong, established network and contacts with leading retailers and modern trade players across India.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to convert market opportunities into business.
- MBA in Marketing / Business Management or a similar qualification preferred.
- Experience in FMCG, personal care, hygiene, consumer products or related industries will be highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a GM / Senior Marketing / Sales & Marketing / Business Development leadership role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, lead teams and operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
