Role Description - PCB Designer

As a PCB Designer at NEUROLAB, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the electronic landscape by designing high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) for innovative electronic product designs. This on-site, full time position provides a dynamic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the field of electronic product design, firmware development, prototyping, and manufacturing.

Location: Kochi, On-site

Key Responsibilities

- PCB Design: Develop and design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic products, ensuring functionality, performance, and adherence to design specifications.
- Schematic Capture: Create and maintain accurate schematic diagrams, collaborating with hardware engineers to understand circuit requirements.
- Component Selection: Work with cross-functional teams to select appropriate electronic components based on performance, cost, and availability.
- Layout and Routing: Perform PCB layout and routing, considering factors such as signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and thermal management.
- Design Verification: Conduct design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to verify and validate the PCB designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Prototype Testing Support:



Provide support during the prototype phase, collaborating with hardware engineers to resolve issues and optimize designs for manufacturing.
- DFM/DFT Considerations: Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles in PCB designs to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing: Work closely with the manufacturing team to address any design-related issues, ensuring seamless transition from design to production.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PCB designs, including design files, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure PCB designs meet industry standards, client requirements, and internal quality benchmarks

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PCB design for electronic products.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and PCB manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, EMC, and thermal considerations in PCB design.
- Familiarity with DFM and DFT principles.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
