School of Science Navrachana University invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, under the Research Support Scheme 2026-27, entitled Quantitative Testing Framework for Hemostatic Materials Using Mechanical Actuation and Vision Analytics.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (01)
Duration: 3 Years. The position is co-terminus with the project; the initial appointment is for one year and is renewable each year based on satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Development and testing of mechanical actuation and machine-vision-based systems.
- Scientific writing and communication.
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience in mechatronics,
automation and motion control.
- Experience with sensors and data acquisition, PCB/electronics.
- Proficiency in CAD and fabrication.
- Knowledge of machine vision/image processing.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Non-GATE / non-NET candidates with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and relevant skills are eligible to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
