Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and Express.js. Build clean, secure, and maintainable REST APIs with clear validation, error handling, and documentation. Implement authentication, authorization, and application security best practices. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Integrate third-party APIs, internal services, and asynchronous backend workflows. Write unit and integration tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks. Optimize backend performance for latency, throughput, reliability, and cost efficiency. Work with Docker-based development and deployment environments. Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver stable releases. Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js.
- Strong practical experience with NestJS and Express.js.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, asynchronous programming, and backend design patterns.
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data modeling, query optimization, and transactional workflows.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment concepts.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and standard engineering tools.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Codex.
- Robust debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with message queues, background jobs, or event-driven systems.
- Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and production incident debugging.
