Job Summary

We are looking for a curious and team-focused Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will build and maintain the backend services and user-facing analytics experiences that power operational insights for Anaplan. You will be responsible for presenting customers and internal users with the data they need to drive their decision-making. You will have a lead role in this system and will be responsible for mentoring junior developers and ensuring standards are met.

You will work as a full-stack developer, responsible for building the REST APIs and web UIs needed to make this data available in a performant and reliable way. We build services in Python and React. This role suits an engineer who is accountable, collaborative, and comfortable moving between data, backend, and frontend work. There will be opportunities to engage with and learn from other parts of the ODL platform, including a modern Lakehouse built on Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and develop high-performance REST services in Python, and guide integration with existing product backends where needed.
- Lead the design and delivery of frontend features for analytics/diagnostics UIs (React/TypeScript).
- Own the strategy and execution of CI/CD for resilient automated deployments across services and the UI.
- Champion test development across API and UI layers; mentor engineers on effective testing.
- Partner with product, analytics, and platform stakeholders to translate business needs into end-to-end technical solutions.
- Drive the technical approach for UI delivery (APIs and usable dashboards/experiences).
- Lead the investigation of correctness,



performance, and scalability issues across the stack.
- Mentor engineers and foster a team-focused, data-driven culture.
- Take accountability for the health and scalability of the systems in scope.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of technical leadership and full-stack delivery.
- Expert-level programming skills in Python.
- Deep experience designing and building scalable REST services (Python preferred).
- Strong experience with modern frontend development (React and TypeScript preferred).
- Proven success with automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Advanced SQL/notebook/Pandas experience for data validation and debugging.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading complex, cross-cutting technical projects.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native design.
- Robust understanding of Kubernetes and Docker in production.
- Experience implementing modern observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Experience building productized BI experiences from the ground up.
- Exposure to Spark/Databricks or similar distributed data processing frameworks or data science tools.
- Experience with Spring Boot.
