About the Role :

To lead and drive all Safety activities for ongoing and upcoming projects including Crushing & Processing Unit, CPU, Beneficiation Plant, Infrastructure Development, Construction Projects, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Commissioning Activities. The role will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project safety standards, contractor safety management, and implementation of all safety practices to achieve a Zero Harm work culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead safety management for all project activities including CPU and Beneficiation Project construction and commissioning.
- Develop and implement project-specific safety plans and procedures.
- Ensure safe execution of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, erection, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system, including risk assessments, job safety analyses, and work permit systems.
- Provide training on industrial safety procedures to employees and contractors involved in the project.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor safety performance.
- Conduct safety induction and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
- Review contractor manpower competency, permits, certifications, and safety documentation
- Develop emergency response plans.
- Organize mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Ensure availability and readiness of emergency response systems.
- Ensure compliance with DGMS, Mines Act, and statutory safety requirements.
- Drive contractor safety management and project safety governance.
- Conduct HIRA, JSA, safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Manage safety during civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities.
- Promote a solid safety culture and Zero Harm workplace.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 12-18 years of experience in industrial construction projects with expertise in safety management.
- Diploma/B.Tech / B.E. degree from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of HIRA, JSA, JHA, Hazard Analysis, Risk Identification, Accident Investigation, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment, Work Permit System.
