Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Engineering to lead Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance and Utilities activities at the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Mechanical & Utilities Engineering team.
- Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of Reactors, Centrifuges, ANFDs and powder process equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of PW, WFI, Chilled Water, Steam, Compressed Air and Nitrogen.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules and critical spare management.
- Identify equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.




- Manage engineering projects, equipment installation and vendor coordination.
- Handle FAT, SAT, IQ and OQ activities for new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and Valuable Engineering Practices.
- Manage engineering budgets, CAPEX and maintenance expenses.
- Drive energy conservation and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, EHS and other cross-functional teams.
- Monitor Engineering KPIs and lead, train and develop the engineering team.
- Candidate Profile

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 15–20 years of experience in Pharmaceutical API / Bulk Drug manufacturing.
- Strong experience in Mechanical Maintenance and Utilities.
- Hands-on exposure to Chillers, Boilers, PW/WFI, Steam, Compressed Air and Nitrogen systems.
- Experience with pharmaceutical process equipment such as Reactors, Centrifuges and ANFDs.
- Strong exposure to Engineering Projects, FAT/SAT and IQ/OQ.
- Good understanding of cGMP and engineering compliance.
- Strong team management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- SAP / PMP exposure will be an added advantage.
