The ideal candidate is a strong Tableau practitioner who can bring structure and rigour to the migration, ensuring business reporting continuity throughout the transition. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can onboard quickly, deliver independently, and make a meaningful contribution within a defined timeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute the migration of existing Power BI dashboards and reports to Tableau, ensuring functional and visual parity
- Audit and document current Power BI assets reports, datasets, and data sources to create a structured migration plan
- Validate migrated dashboards against source reports for data accuracy and consistency
- Identify opportunities to enhance and optimize reports during the migration rather than a like-for-like lift-and-shift
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
- Optimize dashboard performance through effective data modeling, extract strategies, and Tableau Server/Cloud management
- Follow and contribute to Tableau development best practices, standards, and governance within the BI team
- Document all deliverables thoroughly — including migration mapping, Tableau standards,



and dashboard logic — to ensure seamless handover at the end of the engagement
- Support upskilling of internal BI team members on Tableau during the transition period.

Required Qualifications

- 4–7 years of hands-on experience with Tableau
- 4–7 years of strong SQL proficiency – writing complex queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions
- Proven experience building production-grade dashboards consumed by senior stakeholders
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling with data
- Experience working with relational databases and cloud data warehouses
- Ability to ramp up quickly with minimal handholding in a quick-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior contract or project-based work experience is a plus

Good to Have

- Familiarity with Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and experience in BI tool migration projects is a plus
- Experience with Tableau Prep for data preparation and blending
- Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification.
