Position: Assistant Engineer - Stores

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Location; Chennai

Role & responsibilities

- Ensure physical stock matches system stock

- Identify, analyze, and report inventory discrepancies

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve variances

- Maintain cycle count accuracy as per company targets

- Manage inward and outward material movements

- Ensure proper storage, handling, and identification of materials

- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable

- Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking

- Ensure proper documentation for all transactions

- Coordination, Work closely with Planning, Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to Support material availability for production lines

- Escalate critical stock issues on time

- Inventory Control & Improvement

- Analyze root causes for stock discrepancies

- Implement corrective and preventive actions

- Improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency

- Compliance & Safety

- Follow safety guidelines in stores operations

- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

- Maintain 5S standards in warehouse/storage areas

- MOOWR operations

- Scram Management
