Profile: Maintenance Head

Experience:

- 3-6 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in Food Processing / FMCG / Namkeen / Frozen Food manufacturing.
- Must have hands-on experience with sev, gathiya and namkeen production machinery and related food-processing and packaging equipment.

Roles:

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
- Ensure timely inspection, lubrication, servicing, calibration and replacement of critical components.
- Maintain machine history, maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance records.
- Identify recurring machine failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Introduce predictive maintenance practices for critical equipment.

Breakdown Maintenance
- Lead the maintenance team during machine breakdowns and emergency situations.
- Ensure minimum breakdown time and quick restoration of production.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and repeated breakdowns.
- Maintain breakdown reports, downtime records and corrective-action reports.
- Coordinate with Production to prioritize critical maintenance activities.

Equipment & Machinery Maintenance
- Handle maintenance of sev, gathiya and namkeen production machines.
- Maintain fryers, heating systems, mixers, seasoning machines and extruders.
- Maintain conveyors, elevators,



automatic weighing and packing machines.
- Handle VFFS / pouch packing machines, nitrogen flushing systems, metal detectors and checkweighers.
- Maintain compressors, pneumatic systems and related utility equipment.
- Handle freezing systems / IQF equipment, cold rooms and freezer rooms.
- Maintain refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigeration piping and valves.
- Ensure proper maintenance of packaging and conveyor systems.

Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
- Solid working knowledge of PLC and VFD systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of HT Lines and LT Lines.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Manage mechanical maintenance of production, refrigeration, utility and packaging equipment.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems.

Team & Maintenance Management
- Supervise and guide the maintenance team and allocate daily maintenance activities.
- Maintain adequate availability of critical spare parts and maintenance tools.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores and other departments for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance safety procedures and plant standards.

Qualification:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
