JOB DESCRIPTION – PACKING TRAINEE

Job Title: Packing Trainee
Department: Packing / Production
Reports To: Supervisor / Team Leader / Packing In-charge
Location: Poomalur Division

Job Purpose

To undergo practical training in garment packing operations and develop the required skills to perform packing activities safely, accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Learn and perform basic garment packing activities under the guidance of the Supervisor/Trainer.
2. Check garments for basic quality requirements before packing.
3. Follow packing specifications, size, colour, quantity and style requirements.
4. Fold and pack garments according to the approved packing method.
5. Perform tagging, labeling, barcode and sticker-related activities as instructed.
6. Ensure the correct quantity of garments is packed in each packet/carton.
7. Identify and report packing errors, damaged garments or quality issues to the Supervisor.
8. Maintain proper segregation of different styles, sizes and colours.
9. Handle garments and packing materials carefully to avoid damage and wastage.
10. Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the packing area.
11. Follow safety instructions and company rules at all times.
12. Achieve the assigned daily packing target based on skill level.
13. Participate in on-the-job training and skill development programs.




14. Develop multi-skilling in different packing operations.
15. Maintain regular attendance and follow shift timings.
16. Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Education & Experience

Education: Minimum basic education preferred.
Experience: Freshers can be considered. Previous garment packing experience is an advantage.
