Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the mechanical maintenance team in ensuring smooth, secure, and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment. The GET/DET will receive practical exposure to preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities in an industrial/steel plant environment.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance
- Understanding of rotating equipment
- Knowledge of bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, pumps and conveyors
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Monitor equipment condition and report abnormalities such as vibration, leakage, overheating, and unusual noise.
- Assist senior engineers in maintenance of:

- Pumps and compressors
- Gearboxes and conveyors
- Fans and blowers
- Crushers and screens
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Bearings, couplings, shafts, and rotating equipment
