Job Purpose

To lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring productive inventory management, timely order processing, accurate stock movement, smooth e-commerce and B2C operations, effective returns management, and compliance with operational and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and outbound activities.

- Ensure smooth and timely movement of merchandise from warehouse to stores, e-commerce and other channels.

- Optimize warehouse space utilization, manpower deployment and operational productivity.

- Establish and maintain SOPs for warehouse processes.

2. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate physical and system inventory at all times.

- Monitor stock ageing, stock accuracy, damages, shortages and excess inventory.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock audits.

- Ensure proper handling, tagging, barcoding and storage of merchandise.

- Identify inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.

3. Retail & Store Operations
- Manage stock dispatches to EBOs, MBOs and other retail channels as per business requirements.

- Coordinate with Retail, Planning & Allocation and Merchandising teams for stock requirements.

- Ensure timely execution of RTB (Return to Base) and other stock movements.

- Monitor IBT (Inter-Branch Transfer) processes and ensure accurate stock transfers.

4. E-commerce & B2C Operations
- Manage warehouse operations for e-commerce and B2C orders.

- Ensure timely order processing, picking, packing and dispatch as per defined TATs.

- Coordinate with e-commerce/marketplace teams for order-related issues.

- Monitor order fulfilment accuracy and minimize cancellations and dispatch delays.

5. Returns Management




- Manage end-to-end returns processing, including receipt, inspection, segregation and system updates.

- Ensure returned merchandise is appropriately categorized as saleable, repairable, damaged or defective.

- Coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution of return-related discrepancies.

6. Auditing & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to warehouse SOPs, internal controls and company policies.

- Conduct regular inventory and process audits.

- Identify operational gaps, discrepancies and control issues and implement corrective measures.

- Maintain proper documentation and records for all warehouse transactions.

7. Team Management
- Lead, train and manage the warehouse team, including supervisors, executives and warehouse associates.

- Plan manpower requirements based on business volumes.

- Set performance targets and monitor team productivity.

- Ensure discipline, safety and adherence to warehouse processes.

8. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly warehouse MIS.

- Track key operational metrics such as:

- Inventory Accuracy

- Order Fulfilment

- Dispatch TAT

- Pick & Pack Accuracy

- Returns

- Stock Ageing

- RTB

- IBT

- Warehouse Productivity

- Damages & Shortages

- Provide regular updates and insights to management.

Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline.

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations would be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

- 8–12 years of experience in warehouse, distribution or supply chain operations.

- Experience in fashion, apparel, retail, e-commerce or consumer businesses preferred.

- Candidates with experience managing high-volume warehouse operations and multi-channel distribution will be preferred.
