- Allocate operations and workstations to sewing operators based on skill and production requirements.
- Explain operation methods, work instructions, and quality requirements to operators.
- Monitor hourly and daily production against the planned target.
- Ensure proper line balancing and continuous material flow.
- Monitor operator efficiency and identify productivity improvement opportunities.
- Check the quality of garments at different stages of production.
- Identify recurring defects and take immediate corrective action.
- Coordinate with the Quality Checker/QC team to control defects and rework.
- Ensure correct handling of fabric, cut panels, trims, and finished garments.
- Coordinate with the Mechanic/Maintenance team for sewing machine breakdowns.
- Monitor machine settings, needle condition, thread, and other sewing requirements.
- Train and guide recent operators and trainees in their assigned operations.




- Ensure operators follow approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Maintain proper records of production, rejection, rework, and operator performance.
- Monitor attendance and manpower availability and arrange replacement where required.
- Follow and implement 5S, housekeeping, safety, and discipline in the sewing area.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
- Minimize fabric and garment wastage during production.
- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate production priorities.
- Escalate major production, quality, manpower, or machine issues to the Supervisor.
- Support continuous improvement activities to increase productivity and quality.
- Ensure proper handover of production status between shifts, where applicable.
