Position Purpose and Summary
- Role is responsible for execution of various tasks required for implementation of accounting function within the organization. The role involves preparation of financials (Ind AS & non Ind AS compliant) and getting the same audited by Statutory Auditors.
- Performing comparative analysis of actuals with Budget (Capex & Opex) on Fixed Costs, Gross Margin, Working Capital and highlight deviations having significant impact on financial position of Business.
- Coordinate with various internal stakeholders and conducting testing of internal financial controls, prepare Management Information System (MIS), and Statutory Financial reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and timely update accounting policies, Internal Finance Control guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to the Jewellery business.
- To carry out System improvement of MS Dynamics 365 ERP - Finance module with relevant stakeholders across the organization. Ensure effective utilization by proactively monitoring performance, driving process improvements, and automation of finance functions using technology and data analytics.
- To ensure timely closing of company accounts. Periodically prepare & review books of accounts and financial reports, and prepare Monthly MIS reports, including monthly/quarterly/annual Profit and Loss (P&L;), Cashflow, Balance Sheet, and other reporting compliances.
- Carry out Hedge Accounting and maintain Hedge documentation according to Hedge positions taken by Bullion & Treasury team.
- To create Right of Use Assets for all the Leasehold properties taken by Business and ensuring its correct disclosure in Financial statements.
- To prepare Profit and Turnover reco of Financials as per Ind AS and Non Ind AS guidelines.
- To coordinate with ISCM team and ensure that all the inventory transactions pertaining to Repair/Melting/Issue to JW/Outright procurement are correctly recorded. Guide ISCM team complete transactions in such a way that these are properly reflected in Financials. To ensure accurate inventory accounting and its reco with books.
- Prepare detailed presentations for quarterly Audit Committee and Board meetings.
- Analyze and monitor working capital movement vs. budget on a monthly basis, identifying areas for improvement to minimize blockage in non-moving and slow-moving items.
- Develop capex controls through Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and monitor each capex scheme to ensure completion within the budgeted time and cost. To report Capex costs of each Store/scheme on monthly basis.
- Coordinating with Project and Retail team and ensure that Asset tagging is carried out as per requirement of CARO.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of actual expenses against budgets, including oversight of variance reports with root cause analysis.
- Provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reporting to the management to support the decision-making process.
- Ensuring accurate inventory valuation by following Hedge Accounting & Cost Accounting principles
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory position and submitting the same to Bankers and other regulatory authorities as may be required.
- Focus on delivering quality and timely service to internal customers, including ad-hoc requests from senior management.
- Coordinate with Statutory and Internal Auditors for timely audits at periodical intervals and monitor the closure of open points.
- Coordinate with different stakeholders on Audit observations and ensuring proper closure of Audit points.
- Review, design and monitor compliance with Business SOPS and identify & close gaps
