Ananda Vak Solutions is a digital agency with over 10 years of work behind it, serving clients in India and overseas across web, digital strategy and marketing. We are hiring a WordPress Developer to build and maintain client websites, working directly with our founder.

This is a small team. You will own the sites you build rather than handling one narrow slice of them, and you will see how the work connects to what the client is actually trying to achieve.

What you'll do

- Build client websites on WordPress: theme setup and customisation, page building, plugin configuration
- Take a design or a brief and turn it into a working, responsive site
- Maintain and update existing client sites: fixes, speed improvements, plugin and core updates, security patching
- Write and modify PHP where a plugin or theme needs to do something it doesn't do out of the box
- Handle hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, staging and deployment for client sites
- Implement on-page technical SEO basics: clean markup, page speed, schema, redirects, Search Console setup
- Work directly with our CEO and, occasionally, with clients on requirements and revisions

What we need





- 1–3 years building WordPress sites professionally (agency or freelance both count)
- Working PHP: you can read a theme or plugin and change it without breaking it
- HTML, CSS and enough JavaScript to fix a layout or wire up an interaction
- MySQL basics: you understand what's in the database and can query it
- Git
- Comfortable with cPanel or similar hosting panels

Valuable to have, not required

- Laravel or another PHP framework
- WooCommerce
- Figma to WordPress workflows
- Core Web Vitals and page speed optimisation
- Experience with international clients

Work arrangement

Hybrid. Two to three days a week at Electronic City, the rest from home. Occasional client meetings and site visits.

Compensation

₹25,000 per month fixed, plus a performance incentive linked to project delivery and client retention. We will explain exactly how the incentive is calculated at the interview stage.
