Role Description The Vice President of Business Development is a full-time, leadership role based in Bengaluru, responsible for driving growth and expanding Poetry Designs’ client base and strategic partnerships. This role involves identifying new business opportunities in sustainable architecture and construction, developing and executing long-term business plans, and leading sales initiatives to meet revenue and market expansion goals.

The Vice

President will oversee key client accounts, nurture relationships with stakeholders, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.



Day-to-day responsibilities include leading contract negotiations, collaborating with design and project teams to align offerings with market needs, and analyzing market trends to inform strategy.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Business Planning, with the ability to identify opportunities and build scalable growth strategies.
- Solid skills in Contract Negotiation, ensuring agreements that are commercially sound and aligned with organizational goals.
- Proven experience in cold calling, outbound & inbound Sales, including pipeline management, forecasting, and closing complex deals.
- Solid background in Real Estate Sales, with a track record of maintaining long-term, trust-based client relationships.
- Experience in architecture, construction, real estate, or related industries, ideally with exposure to sustainable or green building practices.
- Strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Post Graduate degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Willingness to work with a growing start-up in Bengaluru and engage regularly with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
