About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Lead – Assets to build, scale, and manage the complete asset franchise of the NBFC.

The role will own the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including origination, credit, underwriting, portfolio management, collections, and recoveries, with a focus on building a high-quality, profitable, and diversified loan book while maintaining disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Lending & Execution

- Drive loan origination across SME, MSME, Corporate, Retail, and Loan Against Securities (LAS) segments.
- Develop and manage sourcing channels through:
- OEMs and dealers
- DSAs and channel partners
- Direct client relationships
- Strategic partnerships
- Lead the complete credit lifecycle from customer acquisition and appraisal to underwriting, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement monitoring.
- Own portfolio performance, including:
- Disbursements
- Portfolio yield
- Collections
- PAR
- NPAs
- Recoveries
- Work closely with Credit, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Collections teams to ensure efficient execution and customer servicing.

Strategy – Build the Asset Franchise (0 → Scale)





- Develop the end-to-end asset growth strategy aligned with the NBFC's business plans.
- Identify high-potential customer segments, industries, and lending opportunities.
- Design scalable and commercially viable lending products.
- Establish robust credit policies, underwriting standards, pricing frameworks, and risk scorecards.
- Build a repeatable and data-driven origination engine.
- Establish strong portfolio analytics, monitoring, and governance mechanisms.
- Support the transition from a single-product lending platform to a diversified, multi-product asset business.

Key Requirements

- Strong experience in NBFC lending, asset management, credit, and business development.
- Proven experience building and scaling lending businesses and loan portfolios.
- Strong exposure to SME, MSME, Corporate, Retail and/or LAS lending.
- Hands-on understanding of the complete lending and credit lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting, credit risk, portfolio management, collections, and recoveries.
- Experience developing lending products, sourcing channels, credit policies, and pricing frameworks.
- Robust commercial, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to build an asset franchise from 0 to scale while maintaining asset quality and profitability.
