We're hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own quality across our Shopify apps, spanning API routes, a data sync pipeline, and a complex category tree UI. You'll define and maintain our test strategy across unit, integration, and E2E layers, and you'll be comfortable with the harder failure modes of async systems: retries, out-of-order events, and partial syncs.

What you'll do

- Define and evolve test strategy across unit, integration, and E2E layers
- Write unit and integration tests in TypeScript using Vitest or Jest
- Automate REST and GraphQL API testing, including edge cases and error handling
- Test event-driven flows like Shopify webhooks, queues,



and the sync pipeline for idempotency, ordering, and retries
- Validate complex category tree UI behaviour
- Own regression suites, bug tracking, and release readiness
- Keep CI test runs rapid, reliable, and free of flaky tests

What you bring

- 4+ years of QA in a TypeScript/Node.js environment
- Hands-on test authoring with Vitest or Jest
- REST and GraphQL API testing experience
- Familiarity with Shopify apps or e-commerce platforms
- Experience testing webhooks, queues, or other async systems
- Ownership of bug tracking and regression testing

Nice to have

- Playwright or Cypress for Remix/React apps
- Testing Shopify Admin UI or embedded apps
- Monorepo, workspace-level test setups
