Principal Analyst - Financial Accounting / Associate Manager - Financial AccountingLocation: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)Reporting to: Finance ControllerQualification: Qualified Chartered AccountantRole Purpose:We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple group entities. The role will focus on monthly reporting, while supporting the continued development of a robust control setting.This position is ideally suited to an individual who is looking to apply their technical accounting expertise within a dynamic, fast-paced international business. Experience within a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, including an understanding of revenue recognition principles will also be very relevant.Key Responsibilities:Management Accounts and Financial ReportingPrepare monthly management accounts packs to be shared with the CFO.Analyse financial results and investigate variances.Work with colleagues across the business to provide supporting commentary.Ensure all accounting entries are accurate, complete and appropriately supported.Areas of OwnershipThe successful candidate will take ownership of the accounting and reporting for:RevenueDirect expensesAccrualsDeferred incomeAccrued incomeVATIncome TaxesBalance Sheet ReconciliationsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all group subsidiaries for assigned areas.Investigate and resolve outstanding reconciling items promptly.Maintain robust supporting schedules, working papers and documentation for all balances.Audit and ComplianceSupport annual statutory audits.Assist with tax audits and related information requests.Prepare audit-ready schedules,



reconciliations and supporting documentation.Ensure financial records are maintained to a high standard and in line with applicable accounting requirements.Controls and Process ImprovementSupport the development and implementation of strong financial controls.Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and reporting accuracy.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Contribute to the continuous strengthening of the Group's financial control framework.Candidate Profile:Essential Qualifications and ExperienceQualified Chartered Accountant (CA).Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors.Desirable ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas: revenue, intercompany, VAT, income tax, accruals, accrued and deferred income.Experience within a Software as a Service (SaaS) business.Strong understanding of revenue recognition requirements under IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606.Experience operating within a multinational group structure.Controls, compliance, SOX or comparable control framework experience.Training and experience within the Big 4.Personal AttributesHighly motivated and hardworking, with strong attention to detail.A team player who collaborates effectively across finance and operational teams.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.Proactive, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement.Focused on quality, accuracy and the maintenance of robust controls.Preferred Candidate BackgroundQualified Chartered Accountant.Big Four trained with PwC, KPMG, EY or Deloitte.Four to eight years of post-qualification experience preferred.Experience working within international, multi-entity organisations.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with global finance teams.
