Mechanical Engineer - BIW (BodyinWhite)

Experience

5 years in BIW mechanical installation fixtures and automotive production support

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Key Responsibilities

- Support BIW shop floor activities including structural and assembly issue resolution

- Supervise mechanical installation validation and layout calibration of industrial fixtures

- Work with jigs fixtures clamps and tooling for BIW operations

- Provide mechanical troubleshooting for production lines and automation equipment

- Support new model introduction (NPI) trials and fixture corrections

- Coordinate with production quality and automation teams





- Ensure compliance with mechanical safety and quality standards

- Prepare and maintain SOP PFMEA PFD ECM documentation

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of BIW fixtures alignment and mechanical installation

- Handson experience in mechanical troubleshooting

- Understanding of robotic welding and automation interfaces

- Ability to read mechanical drawings and layouts

- Good knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems (preferred)

- Strong problemsolving and coordination skills

- Ability to manage shopfloor activities independently
