Role Description — Senior Executive Human Resources The Senior Executive – Human Resources is a full time, on-site position based in Lucknow and will be responsible for managing and coordinating comprehensive HR operations in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
The role involves managing the complete employee lifecycle, including manpower planning, recruitment support, onboarding, employee documentation, attendance and leave administration, HRIS/HRMS management, employee engagement, performance management, training and development, payroll coordination, employee relations, and separation processes.
The position will also be responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with applicable labour and employment laws, statutory requirements, company policies, standing orders, factory-related requirements, and other applicable legal regulations.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing day-to-day HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management.
- Handling employee joining, onboarding, documentation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, increments, disciplinary matters, and full & final settlement.
- Managing attendance, leave, shift/roster administration, overtime and HRMS/HRIS data.
- Strong hands-on involvement in salary and payroll processing, including attendance inputs, overtime, deductions, statutory contributions, salary revisions, payroll reconciliation, and payroll-related reports.
- Coordinating with Finance/Accounts for accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.
- Managing and maintaining employee master data and HR records.
- Supporting recruitment, manpower planning, workforce budgeting, and deployment.
- Handling employee relations,
grievances, disciplinary proceedings, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
- Developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs, HR processes, and employee communication.
- Planning and coordinating Training & Development, including training needs identification, annual training calendars, induction, technical/functional training, behavioural training, safety training, statutory training, and training effectiveness evaluation.
- Managing Apprenticeship programs and compliance under the Apprentices Act, 1961, including apprentice engagement, documentation, contracts/records, portal-related activities, stipend/payments, training coordination, and statutory returns/compliance.
- Coordinating performance management, KRA/KPI, appraisal, promotion, increment, and competency-development processes.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws, employment laws, factory-related legislation, social-security requirements, wage/payroll regulations, and statutory obligations.
- Maintaining statutory registers, records, returns, notices, and documentation and coordinating with statutory authorities, auditors, inspectors, and consultants as required.
- Supporting legal compliance, labour-law audits, inspections, notices, employee disciplinary cases, and documentation of HR/legal matters.
- Coordinating with contractors and ensuring contract labour and statutory compliance relating to deployed manpower.
- Preparing HR MIS, payroll reports, manpower reports, absenteeism reports, overtime reports, training reports, compliance reports, and management dashboards.
- Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Accounts, Administration, and other departments to address workforce and HR requirements.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, inclusive, disciplined, and productive workplace culture.
- Supporting management in aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives and business requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Welfare, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate qualification such as MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in HR Management and HR Operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Salary & Payroll Administration, including attendance, leave, overtime, deductions, salary structures, payroll reconciliation, statutory deductions, and monthly payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with HRMS/HRIS, payroll software, ERP systems, biometric attendance systems, and employee databases.
- Good knowledge of Training & Development, training-needs assessment, annual training plans, induction programs, skill development, and training effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of the Apprentices Act, 1961, apprenticeship engagement processes, documentation, training coordination, stipend administration, and related compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of labour laws, employment regulations, statutory compliance, factory-related compliance, social security, wages, employee benefits, and industrial relations.
- Experience in handling legal and statutory compliance, labour inspections, statutory records/registers, returns, notices, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Employee Relations, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and workplace communication.
- Experience in performance management, KRA/KPI, appraisal, promotion, increment, and employee development.
- Ability to draft HR policies, SOPs, notices, circulars, letters, disciplinary communications, and official correspondence.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HR reporting/MIS; advanced Excel skills will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with management, employees, contractors, government/statutory authorities, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a manufacturing/chemical/industrial environment with strong focus on safety, discipline, confidentiality, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement and HR automation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven manufacturing environment.
