What Friday is

Friday is an AI operator platform for restaurants. Restaurant data sits scattered across the POS, aggregators, bank statements and half a dozen spreadsheets. Friday pulls it into one place so owners can actually run the business from it. Friday is built by Numerize, which automates end-to-end bookkeeping for restaurant chains.

What you'll do

You're placed with a restaurant chain after it goes live on Friday, and you work from inside their business.

- Understand how the business works internally: what happens between an order, an invoice, a payout and the books, and where it breaks.
- Rebuild those processes on Friday, and automate what can be automated.
- Work with the people who'll use it — the outlet manager, the accountant, the chef — until they actually use it.
- Sit in the leadership review and push Friday into daily use. You don't have to run the meeting; you have to leave it with people using the product.
- Feed what you learn back to our product team, so the next client gets it out of the box.

Who you are

- You did engineering but you're not an engineer. A technical degree, and a technical way of breaking a problem down, applied to business rather than to code.
- You've spent 5–8 years in business roles: business analyst, business or revenue operations, strategy and planning, founder's office, category or programme management. Or you've run your own business.
- You read internal processes quickly. Given access and a few days, you can map how work actually flows through a company and say where it breaks.
- You're hands-on with AI.



You use it daily to get your own work done.
- You have a business mind. You understand how a business works end to end: what makes it money, what wastes it, and why people do things the way they do. You don't need to be a finance person.
- You can talk to anyone. A CEO and an accountant and a cashier, on the same day, with the same ease.
- You're easy to be around. A kitchen at 8pm is chaos and a month-end close is stressful. We want someone who stays calm, keeps it light, and doesn't create drama. The client lives with you day in, day out.

Not for you if

- You're a core developer or an IT person. You won't write services, build integrations or own a tech stack here.
- You want a pure analysis job. You'll be sitting with the people who do the work, not sending them a report.
- You'd rather hand over a recommendation than get the thing used.

Restaurant experience is not required. We'll teach you the business: time in the outlets, a stock count, a month-end close with our bookkeeping team.
