Role Description The Proposal Engineer role at Intrelec is a full-time, in office position based in Mumbai. The individual will be responsible for preparing and writing technical and commercial proposals for switchgear panels and related electrical solutions, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing tender documents, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to gather inputs, and developing accurate cost estimates and bid documentation.

The Proposal

Engineer will interact with clients and consultants to clarify technical queries, support negotiations,



and update proposal content based on feedback. The role also involves maintaining proposal templates, tracking bid status, and contributing to continuous improvement of proposal processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in proposal preparation and proposal writing, including interpretation of technical specifications and tender documents.
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in switchgear panels, MCCs, PCCs, or related power distribution systems.
- Experience collaborating with sales teams, supporting pre-sales activities, and contributing to technical presentations or client meetings.
- Exposure to procurement processes, including sourcing technical information and cost data from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; relevant industrial or project experience is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment lists with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP or bidding tools is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines.
