Job Summary

Write the services that everything else depends on. Our backend team builds the transaction and integration layer behind client platforms that process a responsible volume of records every day.

You will work in a small team where the person who designs an API is the person who supports it, so the quality of your interfaces comes back to you directly.

Responsibilities
Spring Boot services covering business logic, integrations and scheduled processing
Schema design and query performance in MySQL or PostgreSQL
Third party integrations with payment, ERP and identity providers
Unit and integration test coverage for everything you write

Requirements
Three or more years of Java in production, ideally with Spring Boot
Practical understanding of transactions, indexing and where an ORM stops helping




Experience debugging something slow rather than only building something current
Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is welcome
Transparent written communication, because design decisions outlive conversations
