: Placement Head

Location: Avaan Intellect / Academy Reports to: Director – Avaan Intellect / Academy Tagline: “Make all unemployed youth employable”

Role Objective The Placement Head will lead Avaan Intellect’s industry engagement, student placement, and revenue-generation initiatives. Beyond ensuring smooth student transitions into internships and jobs, the role will function as a Profit & Loss vertical head, responsible for building a sustainable placement ecosystem that delivers both employability outcomes and financial profitability.

? Key Responsibilities

- Placement Strategy: Develop and execute a roadmap for internships and final placements aligned with Avaan’s mission.
- Industry Partnerships: Build strong networks with logistics, supply chain, and allied industries; negotiate placement service agreements.
- Internship Coordination: Facilitate 6-month internships for BBA (Logistics) students, ensuring quality exposure and industry satisfaction.
- Campus Recruitment: Organize job fairs, campus drives, and employer engagement events.
- Certification Course Placements: Extend placement support to certification students entering the job market.
- Career Guidance: Conduct workshops on resumes, interviews, and career readiness.
- Employer Branding: Position Avaan Intellect as a trusted source of job-ready talent.
- Revenue Generation:
- Develop a data bank of youth interested in logistics careers.
- Charge industry partners a service fee for placement support.
- Collect notional income from students placed in internships and jobs.




- Ensure profitability of the placement vertical.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor placement outcomes, revenue streams, and profitability metrics.

? Candidate Profile

- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience: 10–15 years in placement, corporate relations, or talent acquisition, with proven P&L; management experience.
- Skills:
- Strong industry network in logistics/supply chain.
- Business development and revenue-generation expertise.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to design scalable placement processes and manage large student batches.
- Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive.
- Attributes: Passion for youth employability, commercially astute, result-oriented, collaborative leadership style.
