Role Description This is a full-time, in office role for a Bar Captain / Steward based at Gola Sizzlers in Preet Vihar.

The Bar

Captain / Steward is responsible for managing bar operations, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring that guests receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service. Daily tasks include welcoming guests, taking and confirming orders, coordinating with the kitchen and bar staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas, and monitoring stock levels and inventory. The role involves training and guiding junior staff on service standards,



assisting with upselling menu items and promotions, handling guest queries or concerns, and following all safety, hygiene, and compliance procedures.

The Bar

Captain / Steward works closely with the restaurant team to create a positive, efficient environment and deliver an excellent overall guest experience.

Qualifications
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
Experience in food & beverage service, including knowledge of menu items, basic mixology, and hygiene standards.
Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members and management.
Ability to train and support junior staff on service procedures and restaurant policies.
Basic sales and upselling skills to promote beverages, specials, and add-on items.
Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or hotel setting preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced, high-volume service workplace.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per restaurant requirements.
