About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced BIW Design Engineer to join our engineering team, focusing on door and structural design within Body-in-White systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in automotive body architecture, sheet metal design, and cross-functional engineering coordination.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and develop BIW components including door inner/outer panels, reinforcements, hinges, checks, latches, and closures
Perform 3D modeling and create 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V5, NX, or Creo
Apply knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes, including stamping, bending, welding, and joining
Ensure designs meet BIW dimensional and assembly requirements, applying GD&T; and tolerance stack-up principles
Conduct design feasibility studies incorporating DFM/DFA principles
Support crash, stiffness, NVH,



and durability requirements in design decisions
Lead and contribute to DFMEA/FMEA processes
Manage BOM, drawing releases, and engineering change management (ECM)
Utilize PLM/PDM systems for design and documentation control
Conduct design reviews and resolve engineering issues in collaboration with manufacturing, CAE, quality, and supplier teams

Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive BIW design, specifically doors and structures
Solid understanding of BIW components, load paths, and vehicle body architecture
Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, or Creo
Working knowledge of materials, thickness selection, and joining methods
Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems
Solid communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Pay: ₹11,415.74 - ₹80,797.48 per month
