Finz is a New York-based fintech rethinking how businesses run finance with AI. We’re creating a future where finance keeps pace with the business, so teams spend less time processing the past and more time shaping what happens next.

We are hiring a Founding Engineer in Koramangala, Bangalore to shape the next generation of agentic financial software. This is a hands-on role for an experienced fintech engineer who can move from architecture to production code.

What You’ll Do
Architect agentic capabilities that reason over financial data, use tools, and execute multi-step work
Design autonomous loops for planning, state, memory, orchestration, verification, and recovery
Establish permissions, controls, evals, observability, and human intervention for protected execution
Decide where deterministic software, model reasoning, autonomous agents, or people should own each step
Evolve APIs, data models, integrations, event-driven workflows, and distributed architecture
Own technical decisions around security, reliability, performance, and scale
Stay hands-on with code, debugging, reviews, and delivery

What We’re Looking For




5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Skilled engineering experience in fintech or financial services
Solid backend, system design, data modelling, and distributed systems fundamentals
Proven ownership of business-critical production systems
Hands-on experience architecting and shipping agentic systems used in live workflows
Deep understanding of agent loops, state, memory, tool orchestration, verification, recovery, and failure modes
Strong experience with APIs, relational databases, event-driven architectures, and cloud infrastructure
Strong understanding of security, permissions, auditability, and reliability in financial systems

What We’re Looking For
You do not have fintech or financial services background
You are not based in Bangalore or cannot work in person from Koramangala
Your AI experience is limited to chatbots, RAG, prompt engineering, or LLM integrations
You have not architected and shipped agentic systems in production
