About the Role

We are looking for a Lead AI Product Engineer who can own a product capability from customer problem to production.

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role. You will work directly with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, work closely with the Product Manager to shape the solution, and lead the engineering team responsible for delivering it.

You should be comfortable moving between customer discussions, product design, architecture, coding, code reviews, team management, and delivery.

This is not a Customer Success or Project Management role. You are expected to remain hands-on with engineering while owning the technical and delivery outcome.

What You Will Do

- Work directly with customers to understand business processes, systems, data, and requirements.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to translate customer needs into product requirements, priorities, and technical solutions.
- Design and build production-grade backend services, APIs, integrations, AI workflows, and automation.
- Remain hands-on with coding, debugging, testing, and code reviews.
- Lead a small engineering team, provide technical direction, and manage deliverables and timelines.
- Own technical delivery from requirement through development, UAT, deployment, and production.
- Make architecture and implementation decisions with focus on scalability, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
- Troubleshoot issues across APIs, databases, authentication, cloud services, integrations, and AI workflows.
- Use AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity.

Product & Customer Delivery

Our product continues to evolve based on real customer requirements. In many cases, a customer requirement may need to be delivered before it becomes part of the standard product.

You will work with the Product Manager and engineering team to:





- Deliver customer-specific requirements when needed to meet committed outcomes and timelines.
- Identify capabilities that should evolve into reusable product features.
- Avoid unnecessary one-off development by designing customer solutions with future product reuse in mind.
- Help move proven customer implementations into configurable and scalable product capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

- 6+ years of software or product engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
- Experience building APIs, backend services, integrations, databases, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience leading engineers and owning technical delivery.
- Robust understanding of system design, debugging, testing, Git, and deployment workflows.
- Experience building applications using LLM APIs, AI agents, structured outputs, retrieval, or automation workflows.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools in day-to-day development.
- Ability to work effectively with Product Managers, customers, and engineering teams.
- Strong ownership and ability to operate independently in a quick-moving environment.

Preferred

- Experience building enterprise SaaS, fintech, ERP, accounting, workflow automation, or document-processing products.
- Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with agentic AI, workflow orchestration, OCR, document intelligence, or enterprise integrations.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers.

You can understand a customer problem, work with the Product Manager to define the right solution, help build it, lead the team delivering it, and take ownership until it is successfully running in production.

You can balance immediate customer commitments with long-term product development — delivering what customers need today while helping convert repeatable solutions into scalable product capabilities.
