Junior Legal / Paralegal Analyst - Contract Data Extraction | Fixed Term Contract Location: Chandigarh

Join Basware's Legal & Sourcing team in office in Chandigarh as part of a 3-person contract data extraction team, reporting to the Senior Legal Project Lead. The team builds a clean, source-attributed dataset from Basware's customer contracts, starting with our VIP, Strategic and Key segments, using an AI-assisted extraction platform (tool selection pending). You'll extract and QA contract data against a daily target pace, flag and help source missing data points, escalate complex or non-standard contracts to your Senior Legal Project Lead, and follow the extraction schema and methodology set by the team.

Skills & Requirements

- Fully fluent in English (written and spoken), including legal/commercial terminology




- Working knowledge of commercial contracts (SaaS agreements, MSAs, order forms, amendments) from a legal, paralegal or contracts-support background
- Comfortable using AI-assisted software tools and able to follow a structured extraction workflow accurately
- Working proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
- High attention to detail and comfortable meeting a daily extraction/data-entry target
- Organized and process-driven; able to follow a defined methodology consistently
- Willing to work on-site at the Chandigarh office
- Nice to have: prior exposure to AI-assisted contract/legal-tech platforms, or experience with CRM/billing data
