Position: DRI Engineer – Mechanical (Operations)

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Industry: DRI / Sponge Iron / Steel

Plant Capacity: 350+ TPD

Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day mechanical operations of a 350+ TPD DRI/Sponge Iron plant.
Monitor and ensure smooth operation of rotary kiln and cooler systems.
Handle mechanical equipment such as kiln, cooler, conveyors, feeders, crushers, screens, fans, blowers and pumps.
Monitor equipment performance and identify mechanical abnormalities during operation.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdown, preventive and shutdown maintenance.
Ensure minimum equipment downtime and smooth production.
Monitor kiln-related parameters and coordinate with the Control Room Operator for secure operation.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and take timely corrective action.
Supervise operators,



technicians and contract manpower during shifts.
Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation and Process teams for smooth plant operations.
Maintain daily production, equipment and shift reports.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and SOPs.

Required Skills
Robust Mechanical Engineering background with hands-on DRI experience.
Experience in operating/handling 350+ TPD DRI rotary kiln.
Good knowledge of rotary kiln, cooler and material handling systems.
Solid mechanical troubleshooting and equipment-handling skills.
Experience in shift operations and manpower handling.
Good coordination and problem-solving skills.

Preferred: Candidates currently working in DRI/Sponge Iron/Steel plants with experience in 350 TPD or higher capacity.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
