Candidate Expectations 4–12 years of experience in financial services operations with strong expertise in cash and/or position reconciliation.
Prior experience managing teams in a banking, asset management, or financial services operations setting.
Hands-on experience with reconciliation tools and systems.
Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, settlements, nostro/vostro accounts, and multi-asset position management.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools; SQL knowledge is a plus.
Education and Certification : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant skilled certification (e.g., CFA Level I/II) preferred.
Detailed Manage the end-to-end daily execution of cash and position reconciliation activities across all accounts and asset classes providing both L1 and L2 services.
Ensure all reconciliation tasks are completed within agreed SLA timelines and quality benchmarks.
Monitor daily break reports and ensure timely escalation and resolution of aged or high-value exceptions.
Review and approve reconciliation outputs before they are submitted to the client or downstream teams.
Conduct regular one-on-ones, team huddles, and performance reviews.
Manage workload distribution across the team to ensure coverage and balanced capacity.
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of team members.
Ensure SOPs and process documentation are up to date, followed consistently, and reviewed periodically.
Implement and monitor quality checks and maker-checker controls across all reconciliation processes.
Identify root causes of recurring breaks or process failures and drive corrective actions.
Support audit and compliance reviews by ensuring documentation and evidence trails are maintained.
Coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, fund accounting, and front office teams to resolve reconciliation exceptions.
Participate in client calls and governance forums to represent the reconciliation team.
Leverage reconciliation platforms (e.g., Intellimatch, AutoRek, SmartStream) to improve throughput and reduce manual intervention.
Drive adoption of best practices and standardised workflows within the team.
