Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens such as blood, urine, and other clinical samples.
Perform laboratory tests and investigations accurately as per standard procedures.
Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
Ensure proper sample identification, handling, storage, and disposal.
Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory documentation.
Perform quality control procedures and report any abnormal or inconsistent results to the concerned senior.
Maintain adequate stock of reagents, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
Monitor expiry dates and storage conditions of reagents and laboratory materials.
Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory and equipment.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, and other departments regarding investigations and reports.
Assist in urgent/emergency investigations and ensure timely reporting of results.
Maintain patient confidentiality and handle laboratory records responsibly.
Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation-related requirements.
