Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Ensure proper dispensing of medicines as per valid prescriptions and hospital protocols.
Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely procurement of medicines and medical supplies.
Monitor inventory, expiry dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions of all medicines.
Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, returns, and wastage.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy, drug control, and hospital regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, purchase, accounts, and other departments regarding medication requirements.
Monitor controlled and high-alert medicines and maintain appropriate documentation.
Conduct regular stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Supervise pharmacy staff, prepare duty schedules, and monitor their performance.
Ensure proper handling of near-expiry and expired medicines.
Address patient/staff queries related to medicine availability and billing.
Implement proper infection control, safety, and housekeeping practices within the pharmacy.
Prepare pharmacy-related reports and submit them to the management as required.
