Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Odessa Functional Consultant with robust knowledge of lease and loan management, asset finance, business process analysis, requirements gathering, functional configuration, testing, implementation, and production support.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, project managers, technical developers, and integration teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the Odessa Platform.

The role will be involved across the complete asset-finance lifecycle, including origination, contract management, servicing, billing, payments, accounting, asset management, termination, remarketing, reporting, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities 1. Business Requirement Gathering

- Conduct workshops with business users and stakeholders.
- Understand current business processes and identify gaps.
- Gather and document functional requirements.
- Analyze existing lease and loan processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Translate business requirements into Odessa functional requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).

2. Odessa Functional Configuration

- Configure Odessa based on approved business requirements.
- Define business rules, workflows, processes, products, and parameters.
- Configure lease and loan products and associated business processes.
- Support configuration of customer, vendor, asset, contract, billing, and payment processes.
- Analyze configuration gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Work with technical teams where customization or development is required.

Odessa supports configurable asset-finance processes and automated workflows, making functional configuration and business-rule analysis an important part of the consultant's role.

3. Lease Management

Provide functional expertise across the lease lifecycle, including:

- Lease origination

5. Asset Management

- Maintain asset-related business requirements.
- Support asset acquisition and tracking.
- Manage asset-level information throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Support asset valuation and utilization requirements.
- Define requirements for asset transfers, returns, and disposals.
- Support end-of-term asset processing and remarketing.

Odessa uses an asset-based approach that provides detailed asset-level information throughout the lifecycle of finance contracts.

6. Billing & Payments

- Analyze billing requirements.
- Define billing schedules and payment structures.
- Support invoice generation and validation.
- Analyze payment application processes.
- Support payment adjustments and reversals.




- Validate interest, principal, fees, taxes, and other charges.
- Investigate billing and payment discrepancies.

7. Finance & Accounting

- Understand the accounting impact of lease and loan transactions.
- Work with Finance teams to define accounting requirements.
- Validate accounting entries generated from operational transactions.
- Support General Ledger integration.
- Support Accounts Receivable processes.
- Assist with revenue, interest, fees, accruals, and asset accounting requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end activities.
- Perform accounting reconciliation between Odessa and external ERP systems.

Odessa's platform is designed to automate leasing operations while generating the underlying accounting entries associated with transactions.

8. Integration Requirements

- Work with technical teams to define integration requirements.
- Analyze inbound and outbound interfaces.
- Support integration between Odessa and ERP/financial systems.
- Define data requirements for customer, vendor, asset, contract, invoice, payment, and accounting information.
- Support API and interface testing.
- Investigate integration failures and data discrepancies.
- Coordinate with developers and integration specialists for resolution.

Odessa provides API-driven integration capabilities for connecting the platform with other enterprise systems.

9. Data Migration

- Analyze legacy lease and loan data.
- Define source-to-target data mapping.
- Support data cleansing and transformation.
- Validate migrated customer, asset, contract, balance, and transaction data.
- Perform migration reconciliation.
- Support mock migrations and production cutover.
- Investigate migration-related data issues.

10. Testing & UAT

- Prepare functional test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional testing.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate lease and loan calculations.
- Test billing, payments, accounting, modifications, renewals, and termination scenarios.
- Log and manage defects.
- Coordinate defect resolution with technical teams.
- Support business users during UAT.
- Obtain business sign-off.

11. Reporting & Analytics

- Gather reporting requirements from business users.
- Define functional specifications for operational and financial reports.
- Validate lease and loan portfolio reports.
- Support reporting related to:
- Contracts
- Assets
- Payments
- Outstanding balances
- Billing
- Collections
- Revenue
- Interest
- Fees
- Portfolio performance
- Accounting
- Work with reporting/BI teams to validate outputs.

12. Production Support

- Provide functional support after implementation and go-live.
- Analyze incidents and determine root causes.
- Resolve functional issues within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate technical fixes where required.
- Support month-end and year-end processes.
- Assist business users with system-related queries.
- Document recurring issues and recommended solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA Finance, CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- 3–8 years of relevant functional consulting experience.
- Prior experience in Odessa / LeaseWave / equipment-financing platforms is strongly preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a business-focused Odessa Functional Consultant who understands both the technology platform and Equipment-financing business processes.

The candidate should be able to independently analyze business requirements, design functional solutions, configure or coordinate configuration in Odessa, validate lease and loan calculations, support integrations and data migration, conduct testing, and provide production support.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
