OGURA is building a curated fashion marketplace for emerging fashion brands, Instagram-first labels, independent designers and boutique stores.
We’re looking for a Fashion Brand Partnerships & Digital Merchandising Intern who can help us discover the right brands, onboard them onto OGURA, understand their product assortment, structure their catalogues, and help merchandise their products effectively across the marketplace.
This role sits at the intersection of fashion, brand partnerships, category management, catalogue management and e-commerce merchandising.
What You’ll Do
- Discover and identify unique Instagram-first fashion brands, independent designers, D2C labels and boutiques that fit OGURA.
- Research brands based on their design language, customer segment, price positioning, assortment and differentiation.
- Connect with fashion founders, designers and boutique owners and introduce them to OGURA.
- Qualify potential brands and manage the relationship from initial outreach to seller activation.
- Coordinate seller onboarding and catalogue submission.
- Review product catalogues for completeness, consistency and marketplace readiness.
- Work with fashion taxonomy — categories, subcategories, product types and product attributes.
- Help classify products using attributes such as silhouette, fabric, pattern, fit, occasion, aesthetic, colour and other relevant fashion attributes.
- Understand a brand’s product assortment and identify category, style and price-point gaps.
- Support digital merchandising across categories, collections and curated edits.
- Coordinate with brands for missing product information, images, variants, inventory and catalogue updates.
- Maintain seller pipelines, CRM records and onboarding trackers.
- Track brands through Prospect → Qualified → Onboarding → Catalogue Received → Live → Activated.
- Share insights on emerging fashion trends, brands and assortment opportunities.

- Have a strong eye for discovering interesting and differentiated fashion brands.
- Be comfortable speaking with founders, designers and business owners.
- Have strong communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills.

Candidates from NIFT and other fashion/design/retail institutes are encouraged to apply, but practical understanding and curiosity matter more than the institution.
Who This Role Is Best ForThis role is for someone who enjoys discovering brands on Instagram and can go beyond saying “this brand looks positive.”
You should be curious about:
Why should OGURA onboard this brand? Who is its customer? What does its assortment add to the marketplace? Where should its products sit in the taxonomy? How should those products be merchandised? What is missing from our existing assortment?
Application TaskWhen applying, share 3 unique Instagram-first Indian fashion brands you believe would be a strong addition to OGURA.
For each, briefly mention:
